Delayed by three hours. Arrived at NB 2-15 delayed kick off until 2-30

Gave away a couple of early penalties that NB didn't convert. They tried using set piece and forwards to attack all day. Our defence fustrated them. Dropped ball under pressure allowed Randle to Scoop up ball and finish from 70m out. Sam Reid Con.

New Brighton came back strongly using their forwards and they got a break through out wide. Con missed.

New Brighton held ball for long periods of the game but didn't make ground. Douglas stealing balls at duck time or holding ball up. Ferns stole a ball in a maul about 60m and raced away from two covering wingers to score. Sam Reid Con.

Half time 14-5

We kicked off. New Brighton found space in the centres and used their forwards to attack. Douglas didn't take a backward step with Hoddinott making huge hits. NB retained the ball for over 20 phases. Douglas stole the ball 5 m out but the ball was taken

out by us. From the lineout NB surged over the line. 14-10.

From here on Douglas trusted their defense and continually punished New Brighton. Carl Murray and Sam Reid kicked very well and played in the right areas

Douglas forwards controlled by calls from Conor Stephens at 9 and Carl Murray made inrodes every carry and gave the space to allow randle another score.

5 metres out NB expected another forward play but Murray picked up and went straight through the middle of the ruck to score.

Lively play involving all douglas players gave Carl space to put Sam Reid away.

35-10 final score.
