DAY 2 of the Douglas 4-week ironman challenge.

We now have over 90 participants in the Ironman Challenge, early this morning thanks to a mammouth 21km from Conor McCaughan we crossed the Austrian boarder into Slovakia.  We are 8 particpants away from 100, get your family, girlfreinds, freinds involved!!!!

Day 2 Highlight: After enjoying a scenic 5.8km recovery walk around the coastal route up to Corrin Tower in Peel, rewarded with some Manx fish and chips on the Peel Promenade.  I was driving back to Douglas and saw RALPH CLARKE getting in the miles on his way back to St Johns.  This whole challenge is about getting people active, and it makes my day to see the effort that everyones putting in.  Carl Murray

1. Each day send me your Strava map, with distance & time (you can use other apps, I’ll be on Strava). Those using a bike please let me know what type.

2. Send me a picture of you either running or cycling for the ironman challenge profile.


Every Monday there will be spot prizes for the pool of participants who reach their targets.
