Away to Altrincham Kersal on 14th October will be the next test, with the 6th placed hosts a win and a draw above Douglas in 10th. Last season each side won at home where an eleven point margin at Altrincham was trumped by a twenty point win at Port-e-Chee. Players returning and a two week rest while World Cup fixtures entertain should see Douglas approaching full strength. Guy Barrons and Robert Todd hamstring issues are hopefully resolved, Kyle Martin should be available, and the pack may be bolstered by Owen Carvin’s return.
