Visiting Whitchurch haven’t been to the Island before despite their Shropshire origins, moving from Regional Two West Midlands amongst the league re-organisation. Although having won only once from four this season in the league, the points were against Birkenhead Park and the three losses were by small margins. Whitchurch field a large pack of forwards and much will hinge on returning Douglas players Simon Hoddinott, Ralph Clarke and Percy Hampton to bulk up the Douglas form.
