As Douglas RUFC enter a new long-term sponsorship agreement, the club wish to thank their previous sponsor, Quilter International, for their support over the last 5 years. A partnership that has seen Douglas grow both on and off the rugby pitch.

Peter Kenny, CEO, Quilter International commented: “Since we became Douglas RUFC’s main sponsor in 2015 we’ve been very proud to play a significant role in helping the club to grow, and to support initiatives that have developed rugby at grassroots level across the Island. It’s a great community focused club that’s run and supported by great people. We wish all of our many friends at Douglas RUFC the best of success in the future.”

Gareth Hooson-Owen, Commercial Director, Douglas Rugby Club commented: “Quilter International have been a driving force behind the club’s success on and off the field. Over the last 5 years Quilter International have supported our junior development and annual success of the Quilter International Douglas junior rugby festival. Douglas 1st XV has risen to the heights of North 1 west, and Douglas 2nd XV have developed to claim the islands prestigious Manx Cup. Our Gratitude of our partnership is of the highest level and will always have a big part in Douglas Rugby History.

The Quilter International partnership set the foundations for the club’s 5 years strategic plan. Starting with promotion to North 1 West, placing the Douglas club one tier below the Semi Professional ranks.

Gareth added: “I would like say a special thanks to Peter Kenny and Wendy Ranft-Gerber, Communications & Community Investment Manager, Quilter International who have supported the club in the last 5 years. Their enthusiasm and energy has been a great help to us as a club.”

Douglas RUFC wish to thank Quilter International and all their team for the support and friendship over the past 5 years.
