Douglas travel to Vale of Lune whose season has been a roller coaster of results, losing to relegation-threatened Broughton Park and beating promotion candidates Bowdon. Douglas found their mojo in recent weeks with Bowdon escaping with points from Port-e-Chee by the skin of their teeth, and Douglas recording the only Regional Two North West away win of the week-end at Broughton last time out.
With three to play, Douglas are eying up the six point deficit to Winnington Park in 9th more than the twelve point gap back to Broughton in 11th, and with a modicum of good fortune on the player front, could yet finish a turbulent season on a high. Injuries have decimated the squad to the extent that thirteen first-teamers were unavailable last week, an unprecedented percentage an already small outfit can ill afford. Bradley Bowmar and Harry Hewson are the most likely to feature in the remaining fixtures, and if Sam McCord continues his try-scoring feats, Winnington could yet find Douglas at their shoulder for the run in.
